ARKANSAS (6)

House: Republican Rep. Steve Womack wins re-election in northwest Arkansas’ 3rd District, defeating Green Party challenger Rebekah Kennedy and Libertarian David Pangrac. Democrat Ken Aden had dropped out of the race this summer. Womack is former mayor of Rogers, Ark. Republican Rep. Tim Griffin defeats Democratic challenger Herb Rule to win a second term in central Arkansas’ 2nd District.

Republican Tom Cotton won the 4th District seat, defeating Democrat Gene Jeffress for the seat held by retiring Mike Ross, the only Democrat-held seat in the Arkansas delegation.

CALIFORNIA (55)

Senate: Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein coasts to another term, defeating Republican neophyte Elizabeth Emken.

House: Democratic Reps. Brad Sherman and Howard Berman square off

Questions: Voters were deciding whether to replace death penalty with life in prison and no parole.

House: GOP Rep. Mike Coffman, backed by tea party, faces challenge from Democrat Joe Miklosi.

Questions: Voters asked to decide whether to legalizes marijuana for personal use by adults.

CONNECTICUT (7)

Senate: Democratic Rep. Chris Murphy defeated professional wrestling magnate Linda McMahon, for the seat being vacated by the retirement of Joe Lieberman, an Independent.

McMahon spent more than $42 million of her own money on the Senate bid.

DELAWARE (3)

Governor: Democrat Jack Markell re-elected.

Senate: Democratic Sen. Thomas Carper wins another term.

House: GOP Rep. Tom Latham favored over Democratic Rep. Leonard Boswell in redistricting struggle.

KANSAS (6)

House: Freshman Rep. Tim Huelskamp wins re-election, facing no Democratic challenger in the 1st District. He was also unopposed in the GOP primary; freshman Rep. Mike Pompeo defeats Democratic challenger Robert Tillman to represent the 4th District in south-central Kansas.

KENTUCKY (8)

House: Republican Andy Barr was the first challenger to unseat an incumbent, besting Democrat Ben Chandler in a district centered in horse country around Lexington. Chandler is in his fourth term.

House: GOP Reps. Charles Boustany and Jeff Landry face off.

MAINE (4)

President: Obama

Senate: Former Gov. Angus King, an independent, won the seat being vacated by Republican Olympia Snowe, who blamed partisan gridlock in Washington for her decision to retire. He prevailed over Republican Charlie Summers and Democrat Cynthia Dill.

Questions: Voters approve same-sex marriage.

Senate: Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin coasts to re-election.

House: Democrat John Delaney favored over GOP Rep. Roscoe Bartlett in redrawn district.

Senate: Republican Sen. Scott Brown is ousted by Democrat Elizabeth Warren, an Oklahoma City native and 2011 inductee into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, in a race that cost more than $65 million. Brown had been a stunning upset winner in 2010 for the seat to succeed the late Sen. Ted Kennedy.

House: Six-term Rep. William Lacy Clay Jr. wins two-year stint, defeating Republican challenger Robyn Hamlin for the second consecutive time in Missouri’s 1st District.
