OKLAHOMA CITY - A jury found a 14-year-old boy guilty of first-degree murder Thursday in the death of his baby sister.
Prosecutors said Crystian Rivera, 14, shook and tossed 9-month-old Linda Beletzuy, after she interrupted his video game. She died Aug. 19, 2011, from head injuries.
She was injured while left in Rivera's care for more than six hours on Aug. 16, 2011, while her parents were at work.
“This beautiful little girl ended up like this because of him,” Oklahoma County Assistant District Attorney SuAnne Carlson told jurors Thursday morning in her closing argument, holding up a photo of the girl hooked up to hospital tubes.
