2011 champion
Anadarko: Has won 25 in a row, but the good news for 3A teams is that the Warriors have moved up to 4A.
Team to beat
Seminole: The Chieftains have a high-powered offense directed by quarterback Doc Harvey. Seminole averages 44.6 points and allows 16.3. Coach Mike Snyder's team has only had one close game, a 14-7 win over Perkins in Week 3. Seminole was 12-0 last year, losing to Oklahoma City Heritage Hall in the quarterfinals.
SLEEPER
Metro Christian: The fifth-ranked Patriots' two losses have been by three points each. Metro has a balanced offense directed by quarterback Matt Woolslayer and a strong defense. Carries momentum into the playoffs with last week's 29-21 win at previously undefeated Berryhill. The Patriots reached the semifinals in 2010 and quarterfinals in 2011.
Players to watch
Austin Grauer, Lincoln Christian: Senior quarterback has passed for 2,324 yards and 27 touchdowns with only five interceptions.
J.D. Hanslovan, Verdigris: Versatile senior, the fourth leading scorer in 3A with 128 points, is an impact player at running back, linebacker and kicker.
Zach Jackson, Berryhill: Senior QB has passed for 1,630 yards and 21 TDs.
Cole Taylor, Victory Christian: Second-leading scorer in 3A with 158 points, the senior is a scoring threat as a wideout and wildcat QB, and also shines in the secondary.
Marquee matchups
Berryhill at Beggs: A rematch of Berryhill's 28-21 comeback win that was capped by Jackson's winning 1-yard TD run with 11 seconds left in last year's second round.
Looking ahead
Victory Christian and Lincoln Christian will meet in the second round if they win their playoff openers.
