Joanne Lee “Jodie” Pope died Wednesday. Born April 4, 1923, in Joplin MO. She attended and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa and took courses from Oklahoma School of Accounting where she also worked. It was here she met her husband, “Pat” who had found it necessary to visit the office quite frequently. They had one child, Scott. She was a member of Amber Rotary Anns, auxiliary of Tulsa Rotary Club. She worked as a volunteer in the Tulsa Republi- can Party and was hired to work in the County Treasurer’s Office. As a member of DAR she visited many Tulsa grade schools talking about the American Heritage of students. Reading was a passion and she knew personnel of Tulsa Libraries well, as she visited them almost daily. Survived by Scott and wife Sharon of New Castle, Colorado, two grandsons, Ben and Matt.
