SAPULPA - Former Valley Brook Police Chief Melvin Fisher has pleaded guilty to drug charges in Creek County District Court but was not ordered to serve prison time, court records show.

Photos taken by the Corrections Department show that Fisher has become gaunt since he was arrested roughly a year ago, making him almost unrecognizable.

He was released on bond after his September 2011 arrest.

Fisher, 49, received a 10-year suspended sentence Oct. 22 and must report to a probation officer.
