We still have a few days to take advantage of some great discounts during Family & Children's Services Care Card shopping days.
More than 200 local stores and restaurants are offering guilt-free shopping and valuable savings through Nov. 12.
Care Cards, which cost $50, are available from a number of local merchants and at the agency's central office, 650 S. Peoria Ave. The cards are good for 10 to 20 percent off at local retailers. Proceeds from sales of the cards benefit Family & Children's Services.
"Care Card isn't just a win-win. It's a win-win-win situation," said Gail Lapidus, chief executive officer of Family & Children's Services. "Shoppers can save money on early holiday purchases by buying and using their Care Cards, merchants benefit from increased sales during a traditionally slower time of year, and Family & Children's Services receives support that enables us to heal abused children, strengthen families and set individuals battling mental illness and addiction on the road to recovery."
Clothing boutiques, home and garden stores, sports and fitness retailers, restaurants, jewelers, art and antiques dealers and other merchants across the community - from Owasso to Jenks, from downtown Tulsa to Wagoner - offer discounts to shoppers who show their Card Cards when making purchases.
Ribbons, Williams-Sonoma, Little Black Dress, The Inviting Place, J. Cole Shoes, Southern Agriculture, C&J School Uniforms, Ihloff Salon & Day Spa, Lambrusco'z To Go, Ziegler Art & Frame, Hasty-Bake, Mint Boutique, Black Optical, Loops, The Little Gym, The Perfect Touch and Travers Mahan Fine Apparel are just a few of the participating merchants.
