"Dancing With the Stars" co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet has revealed she has thyroid cancer.

The actress posted on her ModernMom.com blog Thursday that long-awaited final results of last July's biopsy of a nodule on her thyroid has been diagnosed as cancer.

The actress is the co-creator and chief operating officer of the website and is the mother of four.

"Long story ... long, I got my results back and they were not good, and I need to have thyroid surgery and have a thyroidectomy, which means that I'm going to have a nice big scar right here across my neck," she said in her video blog.

"And I don't get to just walk around and pretend like nothing happened and not follow up and not share it because it's gonna be pretty much dead center."

The initial results of the test were considered by her physicians to be "atypical" but not defined as benign or cancerous, reported Today.com. Further testing and evaluation resulted in the latest diagnosis for the season seven champion of "Dancing With the Stars" who has also guest-starred in numerous TV series.

"Here's the way that I see it: I'm just going to make a positive out of this negative thing," she says in the video. "And I'm going to be a really good patient and I'm gonna do everything I need to do."

On Thursday, she tweeted about all the support she has received: "I'm feeling the love today from friends, family, #DWTS, tweeties, fans. You warm my heart. I'm feeling good Thank you from down deep xox.

"I was scared to get on twitter and hear what people are saying ... now I can breathe easy. Thank you for your support."

Vice president to appear on 'Parks and Recreation'

Newly-re-elected Vice President Joe Biden makes another appearance on TV Thursday and this time it isn't in a political ad.

The vice president filmed a cameo role for NBC's "Parks & Recreation" several months before the election and the episode will be broadcast Thursday, reported deadline.com.

In it, Ben (Adam Scott) pulls a few strings to get Leslie (Amy Poehler) a meeting with her personal hero, Vice President Joe Biden.

The show and the network had reportedly kept news of the TV shoot quiet during the presidential campaign, according the website.

The situation comedy airs at 8:31 p.m. Thursday on NBC, channel 2, cable 9.

Midseason CW television schedule shuffled

The CW will shuffle its midseason schedule and debut the much-anticipated "The Carrie Diaries" on Jan. 14.

The new series will air at 7 p.m. Sundays, one hour earlier than previously announced. To make room, "90210" will move to 8 p.m. Mondays, replacing "Gossip Girl," which ends its series run Dec. 17.

Starting Nov. 30, "Nikita" will return to its 7 p.m. Friday time slot followed by encores of the new series "Arrow" will air at 8 p.m., according to the network.

In "The Carrie Diaries," AnnaSophia Robb stars as a young Carrie Bradshaw - a character made famous by HBO's iconic series "Sex & the City" - as a 16-year-old growing up in 1984 suburban Connecticut with her father and younger sister following the death of the girls' mother.

Her father is overwhelmed, her sister is acting out and a chance to intern at a Manhattan law firm presents Carrie with a chance to move on from her grief and experience the "glamour and grit" of New York City.
