I would like to compliment both Ziva Branstetter and the Tulsa World for giving us the kind of reporting we like from our newspaper ("Victims of OKC bombing struggle to get funds though $12 million remains," Nov. 4; "OKC bombing group to ask for distribution of funds," Nov. 7).
Branstetter's in-depth investigation and the problems it exposed in the administration and distribution of our donated funds by the Oklahoma Community Foundation is dumbfounding.
I'd be interested in the salary Nancy Anthony receives from the nonprofit OKC Community Foundation, for managing our donations. How dare she act like it is their money - to be held on to so as to continue the gravy train at the Community Foundation.
How dare she use technicalities to deny funds for medical expenses, for education, for anything really that these victims need. That is why we donated, to help the victims, not to, as she said, to take this big hunk of money and look at other issues.
Shame on the Oklahoma Community Foundation. This type of behavior makes everyone think twice before sending money to victims of any tragedy and that culture needs to be changed.
