FIRST QUARTER

Key play: Tulsa kicker Daniel Schwarz got his confidence back, hitting a 29-yard field goal with six seconds left in the quarter - the only points for either team in the first 15 minutes. Schwarz missed one field goal and two extra points against Arkansas.

Key stat: 5-of-6. Schwarz has only missed once this season from inside 30 yards. He's 4-of-8 from more than 30 yards.

Number to know: 11. The teams combined for 11 possessions in a surprisingly defensive first quarter. Tulsa and Arkansas combined for 10 possessions in the first half last week.

SECOND QUARTER

Key play: Tulsa's Jordan James made a diving catch on the left sideline for 31 yards to convert a third-and-15 from the Tulsa 49 late in the quarter. Alex Singleton finished the drive with a 1-yard TD carry, giving the Hurricane a 17-0 halftime lead.

Key stat: 90. Tulsa closed the half with a 17-play, 90-yard touchdown drive, taking five minutes and 50 seconds off the clock. The drive started at the TU 10 after a Houston punt pinned the Golden Hurricane deep.

Number to know: 4. TU converted four third downs on its 90-yard touchdown drive. Two came by way of pass interference penalty.

THIRD QUARTER

Key play: Houston continued to be its own worst enemy during the opening drive of the third quarter. With a chance to stop Tulsa on third-and-4 from the Hurricane 31, the Cougars jumped offside. TU scored seven plays later on a Cody Green 3-yard run to take a commanding lead.

Key stat: 27:49. Tulsa held the ball for nearly 30 minutes through three quarters, 10:38 more than Houston. It's also about a minute less than TU averages per game for the season.

Number to know: 237. The Hurricane rushed for 237 yards through three quarters, getting 76 from Singleton, 74 from Ja'Terian Douglas and 57 from Trey Watts.

FOURTH QUARTER

Key play: Houston backup quarterback Crawford Jones would like to forget his first throw of the night. TU lineman Cory Dorris jumped high to snag Jones' dump-off and rumbled 22 yards for a touchdown.

Key stat: 4 for 77. James finished the game with four catches for 77 yards. It's the fourth time this season he's caught four passes in a game - he did it in consecutive games against Nicholls State, Fresno State and UAB.

Number to know: 45. It's been 45 years since Tulsa has shut out an opponent on the road - Nov. 4, 1967 against Wichita State. Houston ended TU's shutout bid midway through the fourth quarter Saturday on a 16-yard reception by Ryan Jackson.
