Chester McColpin was born in Tulsa, OK on May 26, 1942, to Chester Arther McColpin, Jr. and Alice M. (Frye) McColpin. Chester attended Central High School in Tulsa where he met his future wife Patsy Light. They were married on June 29, 1961 in Tulsa, Chester enlisted in the Air Force and served four years in New York and South Carolina. After his enlistment, Chester and Patsy returned to Tulsa where they have lived and raised their three children Melinda McColpin Roberts and Johnny Roberts of Owasso, Charles McColpin and Gary and Carolyn McColpin of Tulsa. He has seven grandchildren: Andrew Rob- erts and Austin Roberts, both of Owasso; and Ashley McColpin, Amber McColpin, Joshua Mc- Colpin, Chance McColpin and Lillie McColpin, all of Tulsa. He also has two great-granddaughters: Alexis Katherine and Emma Marie, both of Tulsa. Chester retired from the City of Tulsa after 31 years. He was in engineering with the Public Works Department. Chester was preceded in death by his parents and his only sister Deloris Francele “Sissy” McColpin. Service 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
