A 9-foot-deep sinkhole opened under a city of Tulsa utility truck Monday morning, crews said.
The truck, used to clean storm sewers, had stopped at a stop sign on Fourth Street at 47th West Avenue and was driving away when the pavement collapsed beneath its rear tires, leaving its back end partially in the hole, utility crews at the scene said.
No one was seriously injured.
The truck was towed out after several hours and a few unsuccessful attempts, crews said.
It was unclear how long it would take to fix the road. Traffic was being detoured Monday afternoon.
