New Mounds police chief named

Mounds has a new police chief.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office announced the hiring of Timothy McDaniel as Mounds' new chief.
Mounds City Council approved the hire, choosing McDaniel among more than 30 applicants.
McDaniel, a former Pawnee County deputy and Jenks police officer, will be sworn in tonight at Mounds' city council meeting, according to a news release.
