As a partner agency of the Tulsa Area United Way, it is my deepest honor to congratulate Mark Graham and everyone at TAUW for the record-breaking campaign numbers that were announced last week at the "Unite!" event.

Our sincerest thanks to Chet Cadieux, who chaired this incredible campaign, and to all who contributed so generously to ensure that we will keep our doors open, and our services viable.

For all of us who work in nonprofit organizations, we are always hopeful that, even though the economic conditions in our country continue to be so complex, we will be able to continue to provide our services. Without public and philanthropic dollars, our agencies, and therefore, the people who we serve, would go without. Thanks to what we've always known as the most giving and philanthropic community in our country, we will continue to serve our constituents as a result of what appears to be the never-ending generosity on the part of so many.

On behalf of my board of directors and all of us at Crosstown Learning Center (big and small), we thank you.

Editor's note: Guilfoyle is executive director of Crosstown Learning Center.
