Restaurants open for takeout, dine-in on Thanksgiving

Many families look forward to the hustle and bustle of putting together a full Thanksgiving spread, while others prefer to leave the preparation and cleanup to someone else.

For those in the latter category, the following restaurants submitted their plans for Thanksgiving buffets, special menus and takeout.

Big Anthony’s BBQ, 8151 E. 21st St., 918-561-6227 — Whole smoked turkeys ($60 to $72) and pecan, buttermilk, pumpkin and sweet potato pies ($13.99 each) available for takeout with 24-hour notice. Request forms at tulsaworld.com/biganthonys or call 918-561-6227.

Big Daddy’s All American BBQ, 4560 N. Lewis Ave. location only — free Thanksgiving dinners, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Boston Deli, 6231 E. 61st, 918-492-4745 — Hasty-Bake smoked turkeys, spiral hams, applewood smoke salmon, stuffed beef tenderloin, sides and desserts are just a few of the items on the takeout menu. For a full list and prices, go to tulsaworld.com/bostondeli.

Canebrake resort, 4 miles east of Wagoner off Oklahoma 51, 918-485-1810 — Entree options for three-course dinner include free-range turkey, spiral-sliced ham, heirloom bean cassoulet, beef Wellington and pan-seared Atlantic cod, plus all the trimmings; $33 adults, $14 ages 10 and under. Reservations required; currently waiting list only.

Freddie’s Bar-B-Que and Steak House, 1425 New Sapulpa Road, 918-224-4301 — Offering takeout dinner of 13-14-pound roasted turkey, 2 pounds smoked ham, 1 quart dressing, 1 quart mashed potatoes, 1 quart gravy, 1 quart green bean casserole, 1 quart candied sweet potatoes and dozen rolls for $94.99, plus tax. Pick up Nov. 21.

French Hen, 7143 S. Yale Ave., 918-492-2596 — Special a la carte menu, served noon to 5 p.m., features 16 items, incuding seven entrees such as pork roulade, buttermilk fried chicken, Cornish hen, poached salmon, prime rib, turkey pot pie and mixed grill; prices had not been set at submission deadline; reservations required.

Jamil’s, 3823 E. 51st St., 918-742-9097 — Opens at 4 p.m. with regular menu plus Thanksgiving dinner of smoked turkey breast, sliced ham, mashed potatoes or stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, tossed salad and roll for $15.95.

La Madeleine Country French Cafe, 1523 E. 15th St., 800-400-5840 — Takeout dinner includes roasted turkey breast, mushroom stuffing, potato gratin, green beans almondine, tangy cranberry relish, mushroom sauce, seven-grain petit rolls and choice of two seasonal desserts; serves 8-10 and costs $94.99. Restaurant closes at 2 p.m. for dine-in customers.

Michael V’s, 8222 E. 103rd St., 918-369-0310 — Fresh fruit, salads, roast turkey, honey-glazed ham, fried shrimp, green bean casserole, cobbler, pie and coconut cream pie shooters are among the many buffet items, served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; $29.95 adults, $10 ages 9 and under; reservations required. Also has coconut cream, chocolate chip pecan, Snickers brownie and apple-sun dried cranberry pies available for takeout.

Osage Casino-Sand Springs, 301 Blackjack Drive, 918-699-7723 — Lunch and dinner will be free to all active military personnel and veterans with military identification. Dinner for ages 18 and over only, served 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., include herb-roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, green bean casserole, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie for $6.99 a person.

Osage Casino-Tulsa, 951 W. 36th St. North, 918-699-7614 — Buffet, served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. for ages 18 and over only, includes ham, turkey, roasted sausage, smoked salmon, fried catfish, fried chicken, breaded shrimp, stuffed pork loin and many sides and desserts for $12.95 per person.

Rib Crib — All Rib Crib locations will be offering smoked turkeys and smoked hams. Call your nearest Rib Crib for details.

TiAmo Ristorante Italiano, 6024 S. Sheridan Ave. location only, 918-499-1919 — Buffet, served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes prime rib carving station, roasted turkey breast, smoked ham, bourbon-glazed salmon, sides and desserts; $25 adults, $12.95 ages 9 and under.
