Man arrested following attempted break-in; family flees through window

A Tulsa family fled through a bedroom window Tuesday night after a man tried to break down their door, police said.
Tyler Robert Sweeden, 19, of Broken Arrow, is accused of burglarizing a home in the 7900 block of South 80th East Avenue.
“The homeowner awoke when he heard someone pounding on his door. He went to the door and heard a subject kicking his door and screaming,” Tulsapolice said in a news release.
The man alerted his family, and they fled through a bedroom window, said Officer Jillian Roberson.
Sweeden was found nearby and was reportedly attempting to enter another home, police said.
He remains at the Tulsa Jail on first-degree burglary and attempted first-degree burglary complaints. His bond is set at $40,000.
