One of the Cowboys' defensive leaders, Lewis has recorded 40 tackles this season, including 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
What do you want to do with a sociology degree?
You can do a lot of things with it, but I'm minoring in entrepreneurship. I know a lot about sports fitness, things like that, so I'll probably lean more toward that area.
Is there a class you're in that you really like?
I like all my classes. I'm enjoying school. A couple of years ago, I really didn't like school, but I did it and made good grades. Now I'm just trying to learn, soak up everything you can.
What do you do outside football and school?
Play video games, go out and have a good time with my friends.
Do you get bored in Stillwater?
It's a collective effort. You can't just stay in Stillwater. You've got to go to Oklahoma City or Tulsa. I try to mix it up and have fun.
With Saturday being Senior Day, what effect has this group had on you?
Every year it's the same. My freshman year it was Orie (Lemon). Last year it was Markelle (Martin) and those guys, and this year it's going to be Cooper (Bassett) and all those guys. It's going to be an emotional day Saturday.
Is it crazy to think that will be you in a year?
Most guys say it goes by so fast, but I feel like it's been some of the longest years of my life. It's always been like that for me.
In a good way, though?
Oh, yeah. In a good way.
A lot of schools recruited you, but what was it about OSU?
Just how I felt when I got here, I felt like I could live here for four years. The coaching staff, the opportunity to play early and the tradition they were getting ready to build here really helped me to make my decision.
After the great freshman season you had, did you feel pressure to follow up on that?
No, I've never felt pressure. I was really hungry my freshman year. I probably slacked off a little my sophomore year, but I'm working on being more consistent.
Has the talk about the lack of turnovers been frustrating?
It's disappointing. Teams go through stints when they don't get turnovers, but I think our time is coming. Probably this week we'll get it, force a lot of turnovers. In the end, as long as we get off the field and get the offense the ball back, that's the main goal.
