Matchbox 20 to play at Tulsa's Hard Rock Jan. 29

Pop-rock act Matchbox Twenty will kick off its 2013 American tour with a Jan. 29 stop at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, the venue announced.
Tickets start at $75, and go on sale Nov. 22, available at tulsaworld.com/hardrockcasino, the venue box office or by calling 918-384-ROCK. All patrons must be at least 21 years old.
The band released its fourth studio album, "North," to a No. 1 Billboard Top 200 debut on Sept. 4.
The Florida band has sold more than 28 million albums worldwide, with hits including "Long Day," "Bent," "If I Fall," "Unwell," "Bright Lights," "Push," "3 AM," "Real World," "Back 2 Good" and others.
Frontman Rob Thomas also has had success as a solo musician and as a songwriter for artists including Tom Petty, Willie Nelson, Mick Jagger, Travis Tritt and Daughtry. In 1999, he won three Grammy awards for his work with Carlos Santana on the multimillion-selling single "Smooth."
