The Tulsa Playboys are still at it, dancing and celebrating more than a year of monthly concerts at the historic Cain's Ballroom.

Dance lessons kick off Thursday at 6:15 p.m., and music starts at 7. Admission is all ages and $10 at the door, 423 N. Main St.

"It's connecting to the history of Tulsa, Cain's and Oklahoma. Western swing is fun music to play, and Cain's Ballroom is where Bob Wills made it famous," band member Shelby Eicher said.

The Tulsa Playboys are a tribute band to Bob and Johnnie Lee Wills, who performed at Cain's weekly from 1936 to 1958. The dances put Tulsa on the national map and soon made Cain's Ballroom one of the most popular venues of its type in the nation.

The legacy continues Thursday.
