The state Department of Agriculture reported the following closing prices Wednesday:

U.S. No 1 HARD RED WINTER WHEAT: .01 to .07 higher. 8.04-8.65.

Davis 8.04, Shattuck 8.23, Frederick, Lawton 8.25, Alva, Buffalo 8.33, Manchester, Ponca City, Temple 8.34, Perry, Stillwater 8.35, Cherokee, Medford 8.38, Hooker 8.43, Banner, Clinton, El Reno, Hobart, Okeene 8.44, Keyes 8.45, Okarche 8.49, Eldorado 8.50, Gary, Watonga 8.64, Weatherford 8.65, Gulf 9.39.

MILO: .03 to .07 higher. 11.62-12.67.

Alva, Buffalo, Ponca City, Weatherford 11.62, Manchester 11.63, Medford 11.78, Shattuck 11.80, Keyes 12.60, Hooker 12.67.

CANOLA (CWT): 19.44 to 19.94.

Blackwell 19.44, Enid 19.74, El Reno 19.84, Yukon 19.94, Dacoma N/A, Apache N/A, Clyde N/A, Hillsdale N/A.

COTTON: Grade 41, Leaf 4, Staple 34 Cotton in southwestern Oklahoma averaged 66.75 cents per pound.

EGGS: Large 1.47; medium 1.23; small 1.01.

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following prices Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 8,500; week ago: 11,770 ; year ago: 10,425.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 2 lower. Steer and heifer calves steady to 3 lower. Demand moderate with heavy weight calves being the least popular. Quality mostly plain to average and this playing a major role in the lower market. Buyers very selective for longer aged cattle or true yearlings. Supply included 66 percent over 600 lbs; 40 percent heifers.
