SHAWNEE - A fired prison guard was accused Thursday of sexual offenses against nine inmates at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center, a women's prison in McLoud.
Jamie Baker was charged in Pottawatomie County District Court with 15 felony counts - nine counts of second-degree rape, four of sexual battery, one of forcible sodomy and one of first-degree rape by force or fear.
Baker, 43, of Earlsboro, began working for the agency May 1 and was fired Sept. 12, Department of Corrections spokesman Jerry Massie said.
He will plead not guilty Friday at his first court appearance, his lawyer, Irven Box, said.
