Letter to the Editor: Try introspection

I looked in vain for the emoticon at the end of Joe Stith's Nov. 10 letter, "Three Actions," to show that he was just kidding. Three Republicans were responsible for Mitt Romney losing the election and Romney wasn't one of them? Really?
There has been a lot of denial among Republicans regarding why they lost the election, but Stith's list of excuses may be one of the most pathetic.
If the Republican Party wants to be successful in the future, it had better look at factors other than those that Stith suggests.
Maybe Republicans could look at the groups that voted overwhelmingly for Barack Obama and ask themselves why they didn't vote for Romney. Women, African-Americans and Hispanic-Americans all vote and they'll be voting in larger numbers in the future. If Republicans continue to offend these groups, they won't win so well, they won't win nationally, just in Oklahoma.
