The new trash system is not working. As has been stated in several letters they are reaching in and removing the bags. This is easier than hooking up the trash carts to the truck. I know this is what happens in our neighborhood.
Here is an idea. If your trash fits into a 39-gallon trash bag (or smaller) and can be tied securely at the top then do not use the trash cart. I know our neighborhood and the trash men that serve us would prefer not to use the carts. If the carts are working for your neighborhood, then use them.
I know this idea of letting the residents determine the method of trash collection is new to this administration, but I think if they try it, it might work.
