The election is over and President Obama has been chosen to lead our nation for another four years. This election sends a message, loud and clear, to Americans that the Democratic Party will govern our country, not just for the next four years, but for many, many years to come.
The demographics of the election assure this event has already begun: Those who voted for our president constitute the fastest-growing segment of our society: Hispanics, blacks and those who come here bringing skills for which there is very little demand. Young women are also part of this group, which slowly but surely is acquiring positions of leadership in medicine, law, industry, academia and as CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
The first group gravitates to the party that promises total security. The latter group promises to defend all women from the "war on women," which they are led to believe exists. As the demand for well-educated, technically skilled workers continues to increase, the opportunities for the growing number of academically handicapped citizens diminishes.
This last group will provide an ever-growing number of those who will vote for the Democrats. And this is how it is possible to gain control of the most powerful (?) nation in the world - without firing a shot.
