James Howard Walkup, 94, born in Idabel, OK died November 14, 2012. He grew up in Tulsa with parents, two brothers and two sisters. All predeceased him. His heritage is Creek and Cherokee tribes. After graduating from Central High School he joined the US Army Air Corp during WWII. Following service he married Pauline and attended OCU. They had two children, Christine and James. He became a land man for Phillips/Conoco until retirement. He and Pauline loved to square dance and support their two children in school activities. After Pauline’s death he married Wahlelle.
