Fifth-ranked Adair came up with a late defensive stop at its 10-yard line to outlast the visiting No. 6 Panthers in a Class 2A second-round playoff game.
Brady Bradbury's 52-yard touchdown run with five minutes left gave Adair a 36-27 lead. Okemah's Michael Davis returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown that cut the Warriors' lead to 36-35. Okemah threatened in the last seconds, but was thwarted by a sack and then Adair survived an untimed down to prevail.
"It was crazy. It's the wildest thing I've ever been a part of," said Adair coach Mark Lippe. "They were so much bigger than us, but we played our hearts out."
