TU men's soccer team to host Sweet Sixteen game Sunday

The 11th-seeded Tulsa men's soccer team will host San Diego in the Sweet Sixteen at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
On Sunday, the Hurricane (14-5-1) defeated South Florida 1-0 in overtime. Union High School graduate Cristian Mata, the C-USA freshman of the year, scored the game's only goal.
TU has won four straight and have lost only one game since Oct. 3.
TU coach Tom McIntosh has guided the Hurricane into the NCAA Tournament five out of the past six years. Their best finish was Elite Eight appearances in 2009 and 2004.
