Suspects charged with burglaries from vehicles
Burglary charges were filed Monday against two Tulsa men who are accused of committing several burglaries from vehicles.
Adam Fields and Guy Charles Green Jr., both 19, are each charged with six counts of second-degree burglary and a single count of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, according to Tulsa County District Court filings.
Fields was charged separately with attempted escape from arrest or detention, court documents show.
The arrests came after a resident saw two people driving away from, police said.
Prosecutors allege that the two had a stolen credit card and marijuana in a white Dodge Charger when they were stopped by police after a resident saw the car leaving the 12000 block of South Delaware Avenue in just after 5 a.m. Oct. 13.
Police reported finding several small bags of marijuana, pills and "a set of functional digital scales and numerous spare baggies" in the vehicle.
They also recovered a metal window punch, flashlights, a camera case and a stolen wallet, a police report says.
Fields and Green are also accused of stealing medications, medical equipment, a projector screen and iPods from vehicles, police said.
Fields remains in the Tulsa Jail, but Green has been released, jail records indicate.

Fire damage is limited at Sapulpa glass plant
SAPULPA - No one was injured in a fire at Saint-Gobain Containers, a glass manufacturing plant, early Monday, authorities said.
Firefighters were called to the business at 1000 N. Mission St. after a power station in the plant caught fire about 3:30 a.m., Fire Capt. Darren Inbody said.
The damage was limited to the station itself, and alternate power stations on site allowed the plant to resume operations, he said.
No injuries were reported, although employees were working in the plant at the time.

Restaurant helping feed people displaced by fire
A day after a fire ripped through a Tulsa apartment complex, a fast-food restaurant is assisting residents who were displaced.
Over the next two days, employees of Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers in Broken Arrow plan to deliver meals to victims of the Sunday afternoon fire at the Observation Point apartments, 4104 S. 130th East Ave.
"We felt it would be a good idea to do something for those people," said Freddy's spokesman Phil Black. "Maybe it would also inspire others to help out."
Forty meals will be delivered to the apartment complex's main office between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Black said.
According to fire investigators, 21 units were damaged by the blaze, which began in an attic and eventually caused part of the roof on that building to collapse.
No one was injured in the fire, said Fire Capt. Stan May.
A preliminary estimate puts the damage at about $200,000, May said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
