Tulsa police are seeking the driver of a red pickup who struck a pedestrian and fled the scene Monday night.

A Tulsa Transit bus driver saw the pickup strike Raymond Davidson, 50, and speed off near Pine Street and New Haven Avenue around 10:45 p.m., Officer Leland Ashley said. The bus driver stopped and provided aid as paramedics and police were en route.

The pickup was reportedly speeding eastbound on Pine Street when it struck Davidson, who was walking along the curb, Ashley said.

Davidson suffered injuries to his head and upper torso and was transported to St. John Medical Center, police said.

The Tulsa Transit vehicle may have captured the wreck or the pickup on video, and investigators are in the process of requesting a copy from the Dallas-based company responsible for processing the data.

Anyone with more information about the wreck is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677), online at tulsaworld.com/crimestoppers or via text message at CRIMES (274637). Text tips should begin with “Tip918.” Tipsters can remain anonymous and may earn a reward.
