ORU women fall to Arkansas 80-57

Arkansas rode its hot shooting and a strong defensive effort to an 80-57 win over Oral Roberts on Monday night at the Mabee Center.

The Razorbacks had three players score in double figures while holding Golden Eagles star Kevi Luper to just 10 points on 2-of-9 shooting from the field.

Quistelle Williams led Arkansas with 17 points, Jhasmin Bowen added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Keira Peak added 12 points.

ORU's Bernadett Balla led all scorers with 26 points, hitting 7-of-15 from the field and 12-of-13 free throws. Jaci Bigham also scored in double figures for ORU with 10 points.

The Razorbacks shot 55.2 percent from the field in taking a 43-26 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Golden Eagles were held to just 8-of-28 shooting from the field in the first half, including 1-of-9 from 3-point range.

The Razorbacks' bench scored 17 points in the half, while ORU's bench went scoreless.

Arkansas also won the rebounding battle 40-33 over ORU.

The Razorbacks forced 17 ORU turnovers and scored 19 points off the Golden Eagle miscues.
