Ila “Faye” Combs went to be with her Lord on November 18, 2012. She was born on January 28, 1926, in Meridian, Oklahoma to Bryan and Mabel Murphy. On October 14, 1944, the day after his return from service in World War II, she was married to William “Bill” E. Combs III. They had two children, Thomas Bryan and Jerrell “Jerry” Ned. While Bill continued to serve his country in the Air Force, Faye maintained the home and raised both the boys. They moved to Tulsa in 1971 and became members of the First Christian Church of Tulsa. Faye was a gracious, caring lady whose spirit will be remembered by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sons. She is survived by her sister Carol Stowers of Edmond, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on November 20, 2012, at 4:00pm at Fellowship Lutheran Church, Tulsa, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
