Oklahoma's new starting quarterback will get settled in with three home games to begin the 2013 football season.
OU released its future schedule on Tuesday. The 12-game slate is front-loaded with contests in Norman before opening road play with a Sept. 28 trip to Notre Dame.
The Sooners will look for a replacement to four-year starter Landry Jones next season. Backup quarterback Blake Bell would appear to be the early leader.
Oklahoma opens with home games against Louisiana-Monroe (Aug. 31), West Virginia (Sept. 7) and Tulsa (Sept. 14) before making the journey to South Bend, Ind.
The annual game against Texas will be on Oct. 12 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
The Sooners will play only one home game following an Oct. 26 visit from Texas Tech - a Nov. 16 game against Iowa State. Three of the final four contests will be on the road, including a Nov. 23 game at Kansas State.
OU will have three open dates (Sept. 21, Nov. 2 and Nov. 30), with the last being a week before the season finale at Oklahoma State.
