The Salvation Army Auxiliary invites patrons to "Step into Christmas" when it holds its 60th annual Christmas Luncheon and Fashion Show on Dec. 4 at the Tulsa Convention Center.

The Tulsa tradition will include fashions from Miss Jackson's modeled by local media personalities, and hundreds of silent auction items.

A live auction will feature items such as a bronze by Tulsa artist Rosalind Cook, dinner at a Tulsa fire station and a vacation in Colorado. Moody's has donated the grand door prize.

Marla Bradshaw is honorary chairwoman. Beth Dennis is coordinating the fashion show with Miss Jackson's President Judy White and Marketing Director Rachel Kern. Ron Hildebrandt has created a stage design with a fanciful backdrop of vintage boots.

"In these trying economic times, the help of the Salvation Army is needed more than ever," said event chairwoman Stephanie Howerton. "This event is a perfect way for our guests to truly make a difference in our community and get into the Christmas spirit all at one time."

The event is a major fundraiser for the Tulsa command of the Salvation Army and helps support the organization's social services at the Center of Hope homeless shelter, six Salvation Army Boys & Girls clubs, four churches and the Adult Rehabilitation Center. Last year's event raised more than $90,000.

Tulsa media personalities will model fashions and serve as escorts for the models. Kristin Dickerson of KTUL, channel 8 will be master of ceremonies.

Models and their escorts include: Dickerson, Caitlin Alexander, Laura Moss and Andrew Kozak of KTUL; Deana Silk, Marla Carter and Justin Wilfon from KJRH, channel 2; Lori Fullbright, Terry Hood and Rich Lenz from KOTV, channel 6; Chera Kimiko, Brittany Jeffers and Clay Loney from KOKI, channel 23, Ziva Branstetter, enterprise editor of the Tulsa World; and Morgan Phillips, senior editor of Tulsa People magazine.

Joining them will be Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary members Amanda Bretz and Lacey Taylor.

Platinum donors include Bank of Oklahoma, Peggy Helmerich and Richard and Norma Small. Gold Star Sponsors include Al and Stephanie Howerton, Barnett Family Foundation and Ann McKellar. Seraphim sponsors include Sandy and Larry Mocha, OMNI Air International, Dick Williamson, Debbie Cadieux, Yvonne and Kerry Sorrells, Helen Hellerich, the Oxley Foundation, and Dr. and Mrs. Richard Mills.

The committee also includes auxiliary President Jackie Pizarro; co-chair, Marolyn Allred; guardian angels, Suzanne Young; silent auction, Linda Schaffer; and reservations, Teddi Hansen.
