Kenny Rogers to return to The Joint

Country legend Kenny Rogers will return Friday to The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. Doors open 7 p.m., showtime is 8 p.m.
Tickets are $45, available at tulsaworld.com/hardrockcasino, 918-384-7625, or at the venue box office, 770 W. Cherokee St., Catoosa. Guests must be at least age 21.
The showman has been performing for five decades, drawing a fan base from a multitude of genres, including country, rock, pop and even soul.
The prolific songman has recorded more than 65 records and sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. His 2011 gospel release, "The Love of God," became his 21st top 10 country album.
These days, Kenny Rogers has been a country music icon for so long, many may not remember just how he became one.
Rogers has belted out dozens of hits, including "Lady," "Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town," "The Gambler," "She Believes in Me," "Islands in the Stream," "We've Got Tonight" and "Buy Me A Rose."
He's earned three Grammys, eight Academy of Country Music awards and five Country Music Association awards.
His autobiography, "Luck Or Something Like It," was released in October.
