The state Department of Agriculture reported the following closing prices Wednesday:

U.S. No 1 HARD RED WINTER WHEAT: Mixed mostly .01 to .02 lower. 7.96-8.51.

Davis 7.96, Shattuck 8.09, Frederick, Lawton 8.11, Manchester 8.20, Temple 8.21, Alva, Buffalo, Cherokee, Medford, Ponca City 8.24, Perry, Stillwater 8.26, El Reno 8.30, Banner, Clinton, Hobart, Keyes, Okeene 8.31, Hooker 8.34, Eldorado 8.36, Geary, Okarche, Watonga, Weatherford 8.51, Gulf 9.26.

MILO: .03 to .04 lower. 11.89-12.94.

Alva, Buffalo, Manchester, Ponca City, Weatherford 11.89, Medford 12.05, Shattuck 12.07, Keyes 12.87, Hooker 12.94.

SOYBEANS: .04 to .05 lower. 13.09-13.46. Shattuck 13.09, Hooker 13.22, Alva, Buffalo 13.38, Medford, Ponca City 13.41, Stillwater 13.46, Gulf 15.08.

CORN: .02 lower. 6.96-7.81.

Manchester 6.96, Medford, Ponca City 7.01, Keyes 7.76, Hooker 7.81, Gulf 8.25.

CANOLA (CWT): N/A: Blackwell, Dacoma, Apache, Hillsdale, Clyde, Enid, El Reno, Yukon.

Grade 41, Leaf 4, Staple 34 Cotton in southwestern Oklahoma averaged 66.25 cents per pound.

EGGS: Large 1.51; medium 1.21; small 1.02.

Oklahoma livestock

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following prices Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 5,972; week ago: 8,500 ; year ago: 5,785.

Compared to last week: Feeder cattle and calves lightly tested but few sales steady. Demand very good for long weaned calves and limited numbers of feeder cattle; moderate for others. Weather remains windy and dry with wheat pasture starting to suffer from the lack of moisture. Quality plain to average, end attractive. Few more thin fleshed light weight cattle included in supply. Supply included 50 percent over 600 lbs; 42 percent heifers.
