Cooler weather following Thursday rain in Tulsa area

Tulsa World Weather: A new weather site powered by the Tulsa staff of the National Weather Service. The partnership allows Tulsa World readers to receive weather alerts, forecasts and current conditions as the staff issues them.
Temperatures dipped in Tulsa following some Thursday rain.
The National Weather Service forecasts highs in the low to mid-50s this weekend, with freezing overnight lows in the mid-20s expected tonight.
Tulsa's temperatures are expected to hit the upper 60s Sunday, before returning to the 50s Monday to start the week, with overnight lows in the 40s Sunday night, then 30s Monday through Wednesday nights.
Tulsa had four-straight days of highs in the 70s through Thursday, when Tulsa recorded 0.28 of an inch of rain, according to the weather service.
The rain brought Tulsa's total this month to 1.11 inches, which is about an inch below normal rainfall for this time in November.
The highest temperature recorded in Tulsa so far this month was 88 degrees on Nov. 2. The lowest was 26 degrees on Nov. 12. Tulsa has not recorded any freezing temperatures since Nov. 17.
