BROKEN ARROW - Numerous businesses on Broken Arrow's Main Street will offer discounts Saturday as part of Small Business Saturday, a program started by American Express.
It's the first year the Broken Arrow Main Street Merchants' Association has participated in the program, said Lisa Frein, downtown development director for the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corp.
"We hope Small Business Saturday will act as a catalyst to get people thinking about downtown Broken Arrow as a retail and entertainment destination," Economic Development Corp. CEO Wes Smithwick said in a news release.
