Jenks to play for state title Friday, East Central to play Saturday night

As expected, the Class 6A football final between Jenks and Norman North has been set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
Fox Sports Oklahoma will televise the game, along with the five other championship games in the 11-man classifications. The network will announce its programming schedule Monday, a spokesman said.
East Central plays Midwest City Carl Albert in the 5A final at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, also at Boone Picken Stadium, and Anadarko faces Clinton in the 4A final at 1:30 p.m. in the same venue.
Pairings were announced Saturday by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.
Vian takes on Davis in the 2A semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Midwest City High School. The No. 1 Wolverines (13-0) eliminated two-time defending champion Hennessey 43-13 in the quarterfinals while Davis outlasted Adair 34-33.
Seminole plays Kingfisher in a 3A semifinal game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Putnan City.
The 3A, 2A and A championship games at tentatively scheduled for Dec. 7-8.
Jenks, seeking its 13th state title, advanced with Friday’s 41-10 semifinal win over arch-rival Union. The top-ranked Trojans will be making their 21st finals appearance while Norman North, opened in 1997, will be making its first. The Timberwolves outlasted Owasso 49-42 in the other semifinal.
East Central held off McAlester 26-14 in the 5A semifinals and advanced to the 5A title game for the third time in eight years. The Cards beat Bixby in the 2005 final and lost to Booker T. Washington 32-3 in the 2010 final.
Carl Albert, seeking an 11th state title, bombed OKC Bishop McGuinness, 56-33 in the other 5A semifinal.
