A Jay man died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night near Jay in Delaware County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Killed was Kyle Bacon, 30.

Troopers said he was driving a 1994 GMC Sonoma pickup west on Oklahoma 20, at 11:40 p.m. about 1.4 miles east of Jay, when the vehicle went off the north side of the highway, overcorrected, then crossed the highway to its south side and overturned three times.

Bacon was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, the OHP said.

He was not wearing a seat belt and airbags on the vehicle did not deploy, troopers said.

He had an odor of alcohol and the cause of the crash was listed as unsafe speed on a curve, troopers said.
