Basketball: NSU men still unbeaten

The Northeastern State men's team remained undefated after an 83-77 victory over Northwestern State at Percefull Fieldhouse in Alva.
The RiverHawks (5-0) matched their win total from 2011-12 and equaled their best start to a season since 2005-06. Senior Jermaine Bransford led the RiverHawks with a career-high 31 points on 10-of-15 shooting in a career-high 37 minutes, plus nine rebounds and four assists. He was 11 of 12 from the free-throw line.
Junior Bryton Hobbs added 23 points and seven assists. Senior Ethan Anderson added 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
