Clifford Jerry Douglass and
Peggy Thomason Douglass of
Collinsville celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary Nov.
22, 2012. They were honored
with a dinner party at 6 p.m.
Nov. 21, 2012, at McGills on
19 in Catoosa. The event was
hosted by their children.
The couple met at a
basketball game in Vera and
were married Nov. 22, 1952, by
Pastor John West at his home.
They have three children:
Vickie and Michael
Chamberlain and Greg and
Alisha Douglass, all of Owasso;
and Brent and Cathy Douglass
of Bartlesville. They have seven
grandchildren: Jennifer and
Sam Amen, Kristina Whitmore,
and Bo Whitmore, all of
Owasso; Julie Heaton of Vail,
Colo.; Eric Douglass of
Norman; Shane Douglass of
Collinsville; and Jake Douglass
of Bartlesville. They have one
great-grandchild, Lilly Amen of
Owasso.
Clifford Jerry Douglass
retired from the Tulsa Fire
Department. Peggy Douglass
retired after 31 years as a
planner with McDonnell
Douglas.
