Letter to the Editor: Uh-huhs

I am appalled by and embarrassed for my home state, Oklahoma. What dreadful thing has President Obama done to cause people in this state to wish to secede from the Union? He wants to provide health care for poor people or people who cannot get insured due to pre-existing conditions.
People really need to get their heads out of their uh-huhs and recognize that the majority of people in Oklahoma are poor people. The majority would benefit from Obamacare and - I believe - are allowing ignorance and prejudice to cause them to vote against their own best interests.
The majority of the people in Oklahoma consider themselves Christian. Is it Christian to be uncaring about the people who have no access to health care? That is not the way of the Jesus Christ I was taught about from childhood.
Personally, I would like to start a petition to send a letter to our president apologizing for the behavior of some and stating our loyalty and support.
