Letter to the Editor: Proud?

I'm happy to read that Phyllis Chaney of Henryetta ("Very proud," Nov. 15) is very "proud" that President Obama's re-election on Nov. 6 wasn't lost to the "money and lies" as she asserts.

I would like to politely inform her that more money was spent on the president's campaign than his opponent's efforts to win the election.

And the lies she contends were a part of the Mitt Romney campaign? I cannot speak for the alleged lies, but I can say that like her, I can also be proud - proud enough to know that in four years, many Americans won't be very proud.
