STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State University Police Department is investigating a reported rape on campus, OSU Director of Communications Gary Shutt confirmed Monday.

An 18-year-old female student reported just after 4 p.m. Nov. 15 that she had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance at her residence in Stinchcomb Hall in mid-November, Shutt and a campus police call log indicated.

The suspect is not a student, according to a police report.

Shutt said the student did not undergo a medical exam after the alleged assault.

He did not release additional details, citing the ongoing investigation.

This is not the first reported sexual assault on OSU’s campus this school year. At 1 p.m. Aug. 20, a student reported being sexually assaulted by an unknown man in her residence at the Village Apartments on campus. A “person of interest” has been investigated in that case, records indicate.
