WAGONER -- Wagoner County authorities are looking for several pallets of industrial equipment that were stolen from a Coweta-area business last week.

The theft occurred between Friday evening and 7 a.m. Monday from a business on 385th East Avenue near Oklahoma 51, between Coweta and Wagoner, Maj. Gary Handley said in a press release Monday evening.

Several industrial air compressor parts used in the manufacturing of concrete were taken, he said.

Several pallets of shafts, housings and end caps were taken, and each shaft and each housing weighs around 2,000 pounds or more, Handley said. A forklift would have been needed to lift the items, and authorities think a flat-bed trailer probably was used to transport them, he said.

Authorities believe a possible motive for the theft was to sell the metal for cash.

The value of the stolen equipment is estimated at $350,000, Handley said.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office at 918-485-3124. Tipsters may remain anonymous by calling the office's tip line at 918-485-7799.
