OKLAHOMA CITY - A man in town for Thanksgiving brought a 12-year-old boy along when he robbed an Oklahoma City convenience store, according to a police incident report.
A store clerk at Portland Express Mart, 3701 N Portland Ave., told police he was robbed at knife point about 10:30 p.m. Friday by a Hispanic man who had a white male child with him. The man and his wife were staying at an apartment with the 12-year-old's mother for Thanksgiving, according to police.
The man took cash and lottery tickets from the clerk before fleeing with the 12-year-old, police said.
An hour after the robbery, a police dog found the man and boy hiding under a car at 3311 N Portland Ave. The man admitted to the robbery, and said he was forced to do it at the insistence of a homeless man.
