1. Class 6A final: No. 1 Jenks (11-2)
vs. No. 6 Norman North (12-1)
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
Site: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater
TV: Fox Sports Oklahoma Plus (cable 68)
The outlook: Jenks tries to return to glory with its
first state title since 2007, while the Timberwolves
attempt to become the first West team since Midwest
City in 1995 to win the 6A gold ball.
Keep an eye on: Trojans tailback Trey’Vonne Barr’e
leads 6A rushers with 1,941 yards and has 29 touchdowns.
Norman North quarterback Peyton Gavras,
after passing for 401 yards against Owasso last week,
has thrown for 3,229 yards and 37 TDs.
Notes: Jenks is in its 14th state title game in the past
17 seasons. Norman North, which opened in 1997, is in
its first championship game.
Tickets: For all state title and semifinal games, prices
are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Jenks has 1,000
advance tickets for adults and 1,000 for students,
with only cash and checks accepted. Those tickets
will go on sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through
Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday at Jenks’
Sharp Center. Tickets for all state playoff games can
be purchased online with credit cards at tulsaworld.com/ossaa. A $1 service charge will be included. Tickets also will be available at Boone Pickens Stadium on
Friday. All tickets are general admission. Jenks is the
designated home team.
Travel plans: Jenks has a charter bus with 56 seats
for the game. Cost is $10. Call Teri Dimmick at 918-

Who wins: Jenks, 38-24.
2. Class 5A final: No. 1 East Central (9-4)
vs. No. 8 Carl Albert (8-5)
When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater
TV: Fox Sports Oklahoma Plus (cable 68)
The outlook: Carl Albert tries to win its ninth state
title since 1997, while the Cardinals look for their first
championship since 2005.
Keep an eye on: East Central wideout Stanvon Taylor
has 61 catches for 1,035 yards and 15 TDs. Carl Albert
quarterback Steve Thompson has rushed for 1,737
yards and 33 TDs.
Notes: East Central’s record includes four forfeit
losses. Carl Albert has come back from a 1-5 start.
Series history: The Cardinals won the last meeting,
21-14, in the 2010 quarterfinals at East Central.
Who wins: East Central, 28-27.
3. Class 4A final: No. 3 Anadarko (13-0)
vs. No. 4 Clinton (11-2)
When: 12:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater
TV: Fox Sports Oklahoma Plus (cable 68)
The outlook: Anadarko, in its first year in 4A, looks
for its second straight state title after conquering 3A
last season. Clinton, which lost in the final last year,
tries to return to glory with its ninth state title since
1996, but its first since 2007, and first in 4A since ‘05.
Keep an eye on: Anadarko tailback R.J. Sink has
rushed for 1,765 yards and has 37 TDs. He also is
dangerous as a receiver. Clinton’s Marquiz Simpkins
has 1,871 rushing yards and 28 TDs.
Series history: Anadarko won 28-21 in Week 6 as
Sink scored on a 2-yard run to snap a 21-21 tie in the
fourth quarter.
Who wins: Anadarko, 26-8.
4. Class 2A semifinal: No. 1 Vian (13-0)
vs. No. 2 Davis (13-0)
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
Site: Darnell Stadium, Midwest City
The outlook: Davis had four straight shutouts early in
the season, but its defense hasn’t looked lately as if it
has the ability to stop the top-ranked Wolverines, who
have already set the state scoring record.
Who wins: Vian, 40-20.
5. Class 3A semifinal: No. 1 Seminole (12-0)
vs. No. 2 Kingfisher (13-0)
When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Putnam City Stadium
The outlook: Kingfisher may have more momentum
entering the game after a 41-12 victory over Stigler last
week after Seminole barely survived in a 34-28 win
against Metro Christian.
Who wins: Seminole, 30-24.
6. Class C final: No. 1 Tipton (13-0) vs. No. 3 Forgan (12-0)
When: 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Milam Stadium, Weatherford
The outlook: Neither team had been seriously
threatened all year until each prevailed in a “onepossession”
game last week. Tipton had only allowed
eight points all season until the semifinals.
Who wins: Tipton, 20-6.
7. Class 2A semifinal: No. 8 Frederick (13-0)
vs. No. 9 Oklahoma Christian (12-1)
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
Site: Milam Stadium, Weatherford
Outlook: A matchup between two of the state’s
top passers. Frederick’s Trevor Flores has thrown for
3,755 yards and 46 TDs. Oklahoma Christian’s Austin
Brooks has passed for 2,815 yards and 45 TDs.
Who wins: Frederick, 52-44.
8. Class A semifinal: No. 1 Wynnewood (12-0)
vs. No. 8 Cashion (13-0)
When: 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Collins Stadium, Norman
Outlook: Wynnewood will be challenged by Cashion
quarterback Ty Reasnor, who has passed for 3,239
yards and 45 touchdowns.
Who wins: Wynnewood, 32-28.
9. Class B final: No. 1 Laverne (13-0)
vs. Pond Creek-Hunter (12-1)
When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Milam Stadium, Weatherford
The outlook: Laverne’s bid for a perfect season will
depend on whether it can stop Brady Krittenbrink, who
has 2,027 rushing yards and 41 TDs.
Who wins: Laverne, 34-17.
10. (tie) Class 3A semifinal: No. 6 Jones (11-2)
vs. No. 8 Blanchard (11-1)
When: 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Putnam City Stadium
The outlook: A good quarterback matchup — Jones’
David Cornwell has passed for 2,635 yards and 27
TDs, while Blanchard’s Brock Lamle has thrown for
2,274 yards and 28 TDs.
Who wins: Blanchard, 23-13.
10. (tie) Class A semifinal: No. 5 Texhoma (13-0)
vs. No. 9 Ringling (12-1)
When: 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Site: Selby Stadium, Enid
The outlook: The Devils will be advancing to the title
game, but will they be Blue (Ringling) or Red (Texhoma)?
Who wins: Texhoma, 28-20.
