Basketball: ORU’s Niles honored

Oral Roberts guard Warren Niles is the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of
the Week. Niles averaged 19.3 points and 3.8 rebounds
in four games.
The senior scored 26 points in a 69-67 win against
Pacific and then poured in 33 in a 75-66 victory over
Loyola Marymount at the Great Alaska Shootout. He
was later named to the Great Alaska Shootout alltournament
team. In the four games, he was 27-of-50
from the floor (54 percent) and 9-of-17 on 3-pointers.
