Charles T. Griffith passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2012. He retired in 1980, after 32 years with American Airlines. Charles was born December 15, 1915, in Welch, OK. He spent early years and attended public schools in Chouteau, OK. He attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1940 and was a veteran of three and a half years in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He is survived by three nephews, Jim Griffith of Lafayette, LA; Charles R. Griffith of Yukon, OK; William C. Griffith of Salina, OK; and one niece, Patricia Lathrop of Independence, MO; several sisters-in-law, brothers-inlaw, nieces-in-law and nephews-in-law. He was a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, American Air- lines Three-Diamond Society, and the Candlewood Club. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Rena Whorton Griffith, father and mother, Roscoe and Lula Griffith, and three brothers Raymond, Jim and R.C. His faithful dedication to his family, church, country and his former employer- American Airlines, was an inspiration to all who knew him. Service 2 PM, Tuesday, Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, interment at Memorial Park.
