Tulsa area jobless rate increases

The Tulsa's metro area's jobless rate increased to 5.6 percent in October from 5.3 percent a month earlier, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.
A year ago, the local jobless rate was 6.9 percent.
The Oklahoma City area posted an unemployment rate of 4.9 percent for October, the lowest among large metropolitan areas but up from 4.6 percent in September.
