Two more people have been arrested on accusations of child neglect after a 3-year-old child was shot in the leg in October.

Darren Craig Wolfe, 45, and Cynthia Louise Abel, 44, were booked into the Tulsa Jail on Wednesday on one count each of child neglect. Wolfe was also booked on one count of possession of a firearm after former felony conviction.

Cynthia Abel is the boy's grandmother, and Wolfe is her boyfriend, according to police.

The boy's father, Christopher Abel, 24, was also arrested Wednesday on one count of child neglect.

On Oct. 12, the boy was seriously injured after he was shot by a .22-caliber revolver recently purchased by Wolfe at a flea market. Wolfe told police that he didn't think the gun was functional.

Filings allege that the child lived in filthy conditions, which included trash, debris and medication.

The charges were filed Nov. 16. Cynthia and Christopher Abel are being held on $50,000 bond each. Wolfe's bond was set at $100,000.
